Although there is no evidence
of this, i personally noticed some truth in what people are saying
about search engines using the keywords that their spiders find in the
domain name (URL) of a website as a part of their ranking formula.
This as you can imagine may be just one of the factors that rank you
and may even be just an illusion, Don't compromise a nice domain name,
If the keywords come in the name naturally it would be a nice thing,
if the non key worded name sounds much better, don't go for the one
with keywords.
One more reason why you should not compromise a nice sounding
domain for one with keywords is that you can implement this strategy
with file names, A file name is part of your url, while the start page
will always be names index or default (almost always) you are free to
name all the other pages with the keywords of your choice. this is
covered in (File/Folder Names
- Page number 09) page of this guide.
